A FANTASTIC WEEK JUST ENDED!
Thanks to the collaboration of 18 families we hosted in our school, the Istituto Comprensivo G.Ferrari, many young students coming from three different European schools: Denia (Spain), Bergen (Norwey) and Östersund (Sweden).
The activities were built on the project: ERASMUS+ “DECONSTRUCTING EDUCATION: CREATIVE AND INCLUSIVE SCHOOLS IN GASTRONOMIC CITIES” financed by the European Community.
This was the first (out of four) students mobility and it tested the methods of work that will characterize the next mobilities.
The students, arrived in group of six with two teachers each, have attended the school lessons, visited our city and enjoyed the traditional and typical places of food production of our province.
In particular, the students visited the historical places of our city (the Cathedral, the Battistero, the Farnese Theatre, the Regio Theatre and the National Gallery), Torrechiara castle, the Ham museum of Langhirano and a cheese factory that produces Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
In our schools, they attended some lessons and they also took part in some didactical laboratories based on the topic of the project, among these: the laboratory of cooking in the Esprit Centre, with the collaboration of the chef Francesca Montagna and the laboratory on the importance of water in our diet proposed by Maestri del Gusto.
During the mobility week, the foreign students shared with our Italian students some important activities promoted by our schools such as the performance “Josef” made by the school choir, the sustainable snack, the performance “Odyssey” and the activities of the sportive group of the school Anna Frank.
The mobility ended with a special dinner in which the hosting families with the Italian and foreign students and teachers had a great time together and they strengthened their friendship started with the project.
The activities were organized and lead by a group of teachers of the schools and they involved colleagues and students from different grade of schools during the different steps of this hard and ambitious project. Thanks in particular to our families for their collaboration and sense of hospitality.
This week will be an unforgettable memory in the history of our schools, as also the smiles and the friendships of every students that we met!
