Final booklet

The final product of our project is a booklet. It’s the best way to share all the experiences done in our four cities. You can use it as an example to develop similar projects or activities in your schools or towns. We hope it like you and be useful!

Healthy ads

The European Union points out that the habits among European children have changed during the last years. TV, the Internet, computer games and smartphones compete with more physical activities and it has lead to more sedentary activities and more limited social life. The spontaneous outdoor games are more and more replaced by the digital world. Our project focuses on our students’ health and to help them finding healthy habits. School today has an important and an increasing part of getting all children and young people to be physically active. In Sweden the government has proposed that all young people should be using their body by walks, biking, running or playing at least an hour a day. The students have created short ads to encourage each other to move and use your body and to have healthy habits. In our corridors at Lugnviksskolan the students have put short ads, so everybody gets reminded that this is so important.

A school trip leaflet

The students in pairs did a research work and collected some materials about the school trip places ( Torrechiara castle and Langhirano)

using a sitography given by the teacher. Then the students choosed the contents and translated them in English.

After that the teacher showed to the students the paper leaflet model explaining how to make it; then the teacher explained the PC program “Publisher” that is the one used by the students.

The students were free to choose color imagines and others symbols to put in the leaflet.

Eventually a group of teachers selected the best leaflet that more suited to the evaluation criteria.

SNACK LESSON

24 students, 8 students each from the three 3rd class of the school  (3A, 3D, 3F) have attended a laboratory hold by two nutrition experts MADEGUS.

During this laboratory, the students had the chance to learn the main basis of an healthy snack and they got some simple but tasty recipes! so the students have reported what they have learned to their classmates.

Intercultural Menu at school. Trough the project, created during the project “Crescere in armonia – Educare al BenEssere” (Grow up in armony – educate to WellBeing), the local administration wants to promote new initiatives that let the school catering be a chance of meeting and welcoming cultural differences.

Some videos are avaible for students and their families that show how the proposed international meals are made.

The initiative arises lots of curiosity and interest and whets the children appetite that are encouraged to try new tastes and new meals.

Last transnational meeting in Dénia

This week, in Pou de la Muntanya school, in Dénia, the last of the transnational coordination meetings of the Erasmus + KA2 #TastingSchools project has been made. In it, teachers from Kaland Skole from Bergen (Norway), Lugnviksskolan from Östersund (Sweden) and Giacomo Ferrari Institute from Parma (Italy) participated.

After two years of shared work, it’s time to finish this interesting project that has been co-financed by the Erasmus + program of the European Union. During this time, we have developed four thematic blocks: Let’s visit, Let’s cook, Let’s move and Art & Cooking, each with several sections: research, visits to the environment and use of new technologies.

During the meeting, we evaluated the mobility of students and teachers, held last week in Dénia, and we have been working with the booklet that will collect examples of everything we have worked during these months. Also, we worked and discussed about the final report that must be drawn up to send to the Erasmus + National Agency.

The cultural program of the week has included the approach to our culinary culture and the singularities of Dénia as a Creative City of Gastronomy declared by UNESCO.

Formative Mobility of Students – Dénia

Students from the Kaland Skole in Bergen (Norway), the Giacomo Ferrari Institute in Parma (Italy) and the Lugnviksskolan in Östersund (Sweden) have been visiting, from June 3 to 9, the city of Dénia, welcomed by families and students of the public school Pou de la Muntanya.

The school exchange, framed within the Erasmus + #TastingSchools project, which coordinates the school from Dénia, is the last of the ten training and coordination mobility programs programmed on the project. 72 students and 46 teachers have been able to participate in the different training trips carried out over these two years, as well as know and learn in the four schools, all of them belonging to Creative Cities of Gatronomy declared by UNESCO.

During their stay in Dénia, they have been able to enjoy a complete training program, which has allowed them to carry out activities in the school, visiting the marine reserve of Cap de Sant Antoni by catamaran, participating in a kitchen workshop at Samaruc restaurant (with chefs Ismael Bilbao and Federico Guajardo) learning the “Dansà de Dénia” or visiting the city of València (both gothic monuments and the City of Arts and Sciences).

Also, the Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the Education Councilor, Rafa Carrió, received the group of students and their teachers, giving way to the visit to the city offered by technicians from the office of Dénia Creative City. This was a good time to get to know the Market, the cherry sample offered there, and places such as the Toy Museum or the Ethnological Museum.

A special mention deserves the nine families that hosted the students. A whole week of experiences where you could visit the beaches, the Montgó Natural Park or the Castle and where the ties that unite the four cities were greatly narrowed.

To finish the week, the school’s end event went ahead to offer a taste of our culture to the students visiting, and to dance with the Valencian folk group “Tres fan Ball”. A luxury finish for an unforgettable week.

Common exhibition

One of the activities carried out throughout the project, and to establish bond between the participating cities, has been the exchange of photos related to the different cities. In each city, a period for taking photographs about representative sites, made by students, was opened. A first exhibition was held in each centre. Among all the photographs taken, each city has chosen the 10 most representative ones. Later, we carried out an exchange of the same photos in order to  exhibit them again, this time the 10 photographs chosen by each city. This exchange was carried out on the mobilities. In this way, students have been able to enjoy them, get to know the project partners better and get closer to other cultures.
